It is easy to forget how good it is to by train. If you have forgotten what all the fuss is about then you might need a few reminders. Here are just a few great reasons to by train.

- When you travel on a train you do not have to concern yourself with sitting in traffic or worry about where you are going to park once you have arrived at your destination. All you have to do is sit back and relax without worrying about having to concentrate on driving.

- Train stations tend to be in the heart of cities so when you arrive you are right where you need to be. Sometimes it would be a nightmare to take your car right into a city but a train can get there no problem.

- You can sleep on a train while you travel or catch up with some good books. A lot of people like to just sit back with a coffee and watch the world go by.

- You can travel to an unbelievable number of places from any station in the UK. The fact that we are now connected to the rail network in Europe opens up even more destinations which we can visit. You could even take a trip on the Orient Express if you wanted to go somewhere as far as Asia.

- Travelling on a train can be like a form of meditation because of the way a train moves; it is just so relaxing and lulling.

- Rail travel is so reasonably priced that long trips are not only convenient but also economical as well.

So there you have just a few reasons why you might want to travel by train.

  1. Air travel has gotten so bad that I much prefer to travel by train if time allows. I’m not strapped to a seat, I can get up and move around from car to car. Nice.
