There do seem to be many people out there that feel that walking holidays are for the older people and the younger couples that wish to feel a lot closer by going on something like this but it is not true at all and walking holidays can be enjoyed by the entire family.
My kids really jumped at the chance at going on something like this and that is because most kids actually love the outdoors if you give them a chance to be out there. We really just made a decision to go on one of those Costa Rica holidays just because we thought we needed a break.
One of my personal favourite things about a holiday like this one is that there is not really a single piece of technology in site which means it gives the eyes a break certainly for me and the kids anyway. In my case I have to say that I am also a gamer and spend a lot of time in front of the screen and when I am not working in front of a computer I am sitting at home in front of one or at the very least in front of a screen.
Active holidays are simply a great way to get away from this and as soon as you get out into the country you almost know that you are doing the right thing by staying out there. When you are out in a place like this you get to see the world for what it really is and the wife and I would always try to be up to watch the glorious sun rises.
The kids already want to go back on a trip similar to this one which I am surprised about. I have secretly booked Disney World for them this year so they will have to wait.
