The National Historical Museum of Brazil, created in 1922, is one of the most important historical museums in Brazil, consisting of over 287,000 items, among which the largest numismatic collection of Latin America. The architectonic complex that houses the museum had its beginning with the construction of the Santiago Fort, at the Calaboose Point, one of the strategic places for the defense of the city of Rio de Janeiro. Created in August 1922, by decree of President Epitácio Pessoa the National Historical Museum starts its activities in October, integrating the Centennial Exhibition, in two special rooms of the Casa do Trem (Ammunition Depot).

Along these 75 years of continuous activities, the Museum assembled the largest collection under the guard of the Ministry of Culture and has become an important center of culture, occupying gradually all the architectural complex of the Calaboose Point, where the Santiago Fort was once situated. The first one to run an official museology course that served as a starting point for the formation of other important Brazilian museums, the National Historical Museum became internationally known in the 1940′s. Today, the museum complex occupies an area of 20,000 m2. It holds over 287,000 items, displayed in more than 25 permanent and non-permanent exhibits. Jellyfish Cove is an archaeological site on the northernmost tip of the island of Newfoundland in the Canadian province of Newfoundland and Labrador.

Discovered in 1960, it is the site of a Norse village, the only known one in North America outside of Greenland. As of 2008, the site remains the only widely-accepted instance of pre-Columbian trans-oceanic contact among those hotly debated by human migration theorists, and is notable for possible connections with the attempted colony of Vinland established by Leif Ericson in around 1003, or more broadly with the Norse colonization of the Americas. The Delhi Fort also known as Lal Qil’ah, or Lal Qila, meaning the Red Fort, located in Delhi, India and became a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2007. The Red Fort stands at the eastern edge of Shahjahanabad, and gets its name from the massive wall of red sandstone that defines its four sides. The wall is 1.5 miles (2.5 km) long, and varies in height from 60ft (16m) on the river side to 110 ft (33 m) towards the city. Nanjing Road is the main shopping street of Shanghai, China, one of the world’s busiest shopping streets.[citation needed] In a broad sense, Nanjing Road includes East-Nanjing Road and West-Nanjing Road, while in narrow sense,

it only refers to the Nanjing Road before 1945 (today’s East-Nanjing Road), which is pedestrianized. Prior to 1949, the road’s English name was rendered “Nanking Road” using the standard romanization of the time. This section is known for its luxurious shopping centers.
