Gyeongbokgung Palace, Seoul

is a palace located in , South Korea. It was the main and largest palace of the and one of the Five built by the Joseon Dynasty. The palace was originally constructed in 1394 by King Taejo. Gyeongbokgung was continuously expanded during the reign of King Taejong and the Great, but part of the palace was burnt down during the Japanese invasions of Korea (1592-1598). Bodrum Castle, Bodrum

Bodrum Castle, located in southwest Turkey in the city of Bodrum, was built by the Knights Hospitaller starting in 1402 as the Castle of St. Peter or Petronium. Confronted with the invasion of , the Knights Hospitaller, with their headquarters on the , needed another stronghold on the mainland. Grand Master Philibert de Naillac (1396-1421) found a suitable site across the island of Kos, where there was already a castle of the Order. This location had been already the site of a fortification in Doric times (1110 BC) and of a small Seljuk castle in the 11th century. The same promontory was also the probable site of the palace of Mausolos, the famous king of Caria. Turkey is interesting country for and trips.

Rundetarn () is a 17th located in Copenhagen, Denmark. The tower is part of the Trinitatis complex, which was built to provide the scholars of the time with an astronomical observatory, a student church and a university library. One of his most well-known buildings, Rundetarn was built upon request from King Christian IV and designed by architect Hans Steenwinckel the Younger. The foundation stone was laid on July 7, 1637, and the tower was finished in 1642. The Trinitatis church was not finished until 1656, and the library not until 1657. The observatory (which is the oldest functioning observatory in Europe) and the library were used by the until 1861. Astronomers having used the observatory include Ole Rømer (1644-1710) and Peder Horrebow (1679-1764). Back when it was first built, it was for the students who lived in little dormitories to study in the observatory and the library. Copenhagen is one of .
