Alton Towers
Alton Towers is the United Kingdom’s most famous theme park, attracting 2.5 million visitors in 2005.[1] It is based north of the village of Alton in Staffordshire (approximately 16 miles (26 km) east of Stoke-on-Trent), on the site of a semi-ruined gothic country house of the same name. Also on site are two hotels; The Alton Towers Hotel and Splash Landings Hotel, the latter contains Cariba Creek, an indoor/outdoor water park. Nice family vacation location.

Wookey Hole Caves

is a show cave and in the village of Wookey Hole on the of the near Wells in Somerset, England. Wookey was formed by the action of the on the . Before emerging at Wookey Hole the water enters and passes through other caves such as Swildon’s Hole and ’s Swallet. After resurging, the waters of the River Axe are used in a handmade paper mill, the oldest extant in Britain, which began operations circa 1610, although a corn operated there as early as 1086. Nice travel attraction if you have near vacation location.

The Albert Dock in , England, was opened in 1846 by its namesake, of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha.

Based on plans submitted in 1839 by the civil engineers Jesse Hartley and Philip Hardwick, for a combined dock and , shipping entered the dock from either Canning Half Tide Dock to the North or Salthouse Dock to the east. The Albert Dock was built entirely of cast iron, brick, and stone, with no structural wood; it was the first building in the UK to be built in such a manner. It was also the -proof warehousing system in the world. In 1848 it was upgraded to feature the world’s first hydraulic warehouse hoist system. The five Grade I buildings, covering 1.25 million sq ft, make the Albert Dock complex the largest set of Grade 1 Listed Buildings in the UK. It is nice historical attraction and one of sightseeing in Liverpool.
