Any time is a great time to visit London, as there is so much happening there that you will always find something, or more likely several things, to attract your interest. You should make a list of sights to take in, as otherwise you might end up missing out on one of London’s highlights.

The Tower of London, the Houses Of Parliament, and Westminster Abbey are all not to be missed. You might want to consider taking them as part of a guided tour, as learning a little about their histories will give you an even better appreciation of them. The House of Commons and the House of Lords are pretty impressive in themselves, but more popular among visitors is the landmark’s clock tower. You have probably seen the clock tower, called Big Ben, on TV, and it is even more impressive when you see it in person.

There are various palaces and historical buildings spread around the city. The Queen of England lives in the most famous of all them, which is called Buckingham Palace. Outside of Buckingham Palace you will see the famous guards clad in their red and black uniforms. You can take your picture with them, and even watch them run through some drills, which is a truly memorable sight to behold .

As for getting around, remember, they drive on the left side of the road In England. If you rent a car, ask the agency for a map. If you are only going to be in London for a day or so, it might be easier to go by way of taxi. One thing that always stands out in pictures of London is the double-decker bus. They tower over traffic and are as reliable as public transportation can be. Take a ride just for the heck of it. Using the underground train system is probably the quickest way to get about though; it is so extensive that you can literally use it to get to anywhere in the whole of London.

—

Looking for an affordable place to stay in London? Book a bed at a Cheap London Hostel!

It has since been home to many premieres, birthday parties, corporate junkets and two Academy Awards ceremonies. Among the theatre’s most famous traits are the autographed cement blocks that reside in the forecourt, which bear the signatures and markings of many of Hollywood’s most revered stars and starlets. From 1973 through 2001, the theatre was known as Mann’s Chinese Theater, owing to its acquisition by Mann Theatres in 1973. In the wake of Mann’s bankruptcy, the Chinese, along with the other Mann properties, was sold in 2000 to a partnership comprising Warner Bros. and Paramount Pictures, who also acquired the Mann brand name. In 2002 the original name was restored to the cinema palace, although the other theaters in the attached Hollywood and Highland mall retain and continue to operate under the name Mann’s Chinese 6 Theater. Visit it while sightseeing Los Angeles.

The majority of buildings on the current site date from the 12th and 13th centuries. Cashel is reputed to be the site of the conversion of the King of Munster by St. Patrick in the 5th century A.D. The buildings which crown the Rock of Cashel present a mass and outline of great complexity, rivalling other sites in western Europe. The complex has a character of its own, unique and native, and is one of the most remarkable collections of Celtic art and medieval architecture to be found anywhere in Europe.
