For many of us, an authentic safari adventure is one of those holidays that we would all love to do but are not quite sure when or how to do it. One thing that is certain is that if you are thinking of going on safari, it is imperative that you plan your holiday to the last detail as without an idea of what to do and where to go, you could end up feeling that you have not made the most out of your adventure. The aim of this article is to educate you on the popular places people like to go and some of the alternative places that not many people consider when booking their safari holiday.

Kenya – At around 600 square miles, the Masai Mara game reserve in Kenya is certainly not the biggest game reserve in Africa, but it is still one of the most popular. It is possible to see the big 5 (lions, elephants, rhinoceros, leopards and buffalos) mammals in their natural habitat and provides one of the best safari experiences possible. Strict vehicle regulations and continuous ranger patrols means that the wildlife and habitat are preserved better than many of the other reserves in Africa.

Uganda – Uganda, the Pearl of Africa, is one of the most beautiful countries in Africa and contains some simply stunning natural wonders such as waterfalls, lakes and forests. One of the most fascinating places to visit in Uganda and a place that every person on the planet should see is the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest contained for the most part in the Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. To put is simply, if you want to see mountain gorillas, this is the place to go.

Zambia – Another great safari destination is the South Luangwa National Park in Zambia. Zambia is home to a huge array of natural wonders including the Victoria Falls, the largest waterfall in the world which is almost a mile wide. The South Luangwa National Park is one of 3 national parks in the Luangwa River basin and is world renowned for the wildlife it supports, including huge elephant and buffalo herds, giraffe, crocodiles and hippopotamuses.

South Africa – South Africa contains one of the largest and best maintained parks in Africa. The Kruger National Park covers an area of over 17,000 square miles and is home to more species of mammal that any other park in Africa, with 147 species. South Africa is a great place to go on safari especially as you are able to view the big 5 mammals going about their daily business.

The days can be quite long and you will most certainly consume lots of food and water to keep your body fuelled with energy throughout the day, this will result in numerous toilet breaks. Just be concious of your’e surroundings you when yo relieve yourself as you can never be certain what lurks behind you in the bush!

Feasting on succulent steak dishes in the open, especially if there’s a nice breeze to carry the delicious scent of a barbeque Steak directly to a lions Nostril.

Carnivorous or territorial animals close up photos, Yes I know this is alluring as lion king made them look so precious and cuddlesome but I can promise you there not and “getting up close and personal” isn’t in you’re best interest.

You’re girlfriend using Britney spears “curious “fragrance as insect repellent will lure mosquitoes in there billions to feast on your soon to be odoriferous redolent corpses.

Throw you’re mosquito net away as you feel its presence is ruining your views of the beautiful night sky

Straddle an unsuspicious rhino or pull on a matriarch’s elephant’s tail will cut you’re Africa holidays short

Try and make friends with a silverback gorilla will suddenly end your Kenya safari.

have a refreshing dip in a watering hole to cool yourself down after a long steamy day in the hot savannah sun, if you’ve ever ridden a dolphin you may use the same technique on a crocodile or if you’re lucky a hippo maybe.

. Playing fetch with a hungry pack of hyena

You won’t come across this type of beast on safari, but you will sure enough meet one if you go diving off the coasts on South Africa Holidays. Leaving the scuba diving cage to get close and stroke one of the great white sharks which would have been attracted by the bait.

when you plan to book Safari Holidays first you must think about a number of things from what animals you want to see, what country you’d like to visit, what type of accommodation and how much you’re willing to spend on the whole trip.

The majority of visitors base their decisions on what animals they’d like to track, the most popular animals attractions are the prestigious Big Five. You will find the big five throughout many of the Safari parks in Africa, The Kruger National Park in South Africa is without a doubt the most praised and visited park which boosts these prestigious animals.

The big five include:

Giant African Elephants Are momentousness beasts that show a sense of understanding and intelligence, because of their pure size elephants aren’t easily threatened and sometimes approach the safari Jeep’s for a little investigation..

White and black Rhino‘s are very timid creatures and a spotting can be rather rare on a single safari, these mighty animals are easily spooked by any foreign sounds movements so it’s best to act with precaution and care around these unpredictable animals.

Lions Are the rulers of the planes and are mostly spotted patrolling savannah grasslands or watering holes always keep an eye out for an easy meal, if you ever get the chance to witness a pride of lions on the hunt your will realise how smart and tactical their natural killing instinct is!.

CapeBuffalo are a common sight during safari’s, but caution has to be kept around these large animals as there mood is incredibly unpredictable and they can turn exceptionally aggressive at the bat of an eyelid.

The last animal is the Seamlessly elegant, agile and cunning killing machine the Leopard a Stand alone nocturnal Killer, the rarest sight of all as only reveal themselves at night and with their perfectly suited camouflage spotting on can prove to be rather difficult.

Mozambique isn’t a country which is seen in regard and if it’s ever conversed about it’s rarely for a optimistic reason. Long past are the horrid times of corrupt land owners and drug trafficking which profoundly damaged the country as a whole.

The country has had it very hard over the last five decades as a multitude of battles with gorilla gangs and militias it’s glad to know the conflicted has now ceased, because of the terrible events which struck the country the majority of the world turned a blind eye to it.

The Portuguese speaking country of Mozambique has a large array of cultural influences due to its geographic position in the African continent, to the north of Mozambique lies the countries ofTanzaniaas well as multiple Arab lands such as Saudi Arabia and Dubai, to the west lies rich African countries like Kenya and south African, while to the west is the warm and tropical Indian ocean.

Maputo is the Capital city of Mozambique, it has a monstrous population of near 1,250,000, the city itself faces out over the Indian oceans making life in this established city very peaceful and civilised.

It’s about time Mozambique should be reconsidered as a civilised and established countrya wellas being a hotspot holiday destination.

Many tourist’s don’t even conceive Mozambique as a Holiday alternative but the fantastic country offers everything you’d ever expect from your formal holiday destination, the magnanimous and diverse landscapes bid vast savannah and planes which are perfect dwellings for boastful assortment of game animals, this means Safari Holidays and tours can engaged in Mozambique.

As I mentioned earlier the country Boarders the bountiful Indian Ocean giving the eastern coastline’s a sub tropical climate that certainly trumps many conventional European beach Holidays.

Mozambique Holidays Are wrongfully underestimated as they easy fulfil many holidaying needs, Mozambique tourist attractions should really be taken into consideration when enquiring about South Africa Holidays as the holiday experiences should be on par, in my opinion Mozambique holidays proceed what i’d expect from a south African holiday due to the beautiful tropical beaches on offer.

Since the 2010 World Cup, many people have added South Africa as a vacation destination. The wildlife is a huge attraction there and they have many wildlife parks. There are, however, several things that you should consider before going.

Your Budget

Although the exchange rate is generally in the international visitor’s favor, there are a variety of options available that can make your vacation more affordable. There are usually game lodges that offer nice accommodation and organized game drives. These places are more for people who aren’t worried about how much money they spend.

The national parks usually offer self-catering cottages and camping facilities, with stores and food available.

You also could stay in a hotel or guest house. This will give you more freedom, even if you have to hire a car. South Africa also has many well-equipped and maintained camping sites.

Seasons

South Africa, being in the southern hemisphere, has its seasons reversed. The best game viewing time is in winter June to September where temperatures may reach 70 to 80 degrees Fahrenheit depending on which part of the country you are visiting.

Winter is usually the dry season so it brings the animals to water holes. You will be able to see them more clearly because the vegetation isn’t so dense.

Safety

The crime statistics in South Africa may deter some visitors, an alert tourist will have no problems. They do however, have to be alert and aware of what is going on around them. In smaller towns, you really only need to look out for petty theft. Don’t leave cameras, cell phones, or wallets unattended. Cars should stay locked and valuables should be packed away, hidden.

The animals that you’ll see are wild, and very dangerous. Follow the regulations regarding staying in the car, keeping windows closed, not feeding the animals or teasing them. Although an animal may appear unperturbed by a car stopping nearby, they can quickly change their minds if they feel threatened, with disastrous consequences.

Check and see if the area is prone to diseases like malaria. Whether or not it is malaria prone, have insect spray on you at all times. Sunscreen is essential too.

Outside of a zoo, you will never see wild animals like this. The “Big Five”, which are lions, leopards, rhinos, elephants, and Cape buffalo, are supplemented by other animals like antelope and giraffe. South Africa has beautiful landscapes, beaches, and other attractions.

Instead of a hiking holiday or bungee jumping, then why not try going out on safari. Being able to see the animals you normally see in the zoo, out in the wildlife, is quite an amazing feeling.

Here are some of the greatest possible places to enjoy a Safari holiday

Head off to the Masai Mara! This is by far the most popular of all the Safari destinations. The Mara is best known for its group of animals known as the “Big Five”. The Masai Mara’s Big Five is the Leopard, Buffalo, Rhino, Lion and Elephant. These animals were called the Big Five, because when they were first hunted on original safaris, they were concerned the most dangerous! The Masai Mara also received more popularity form the TV show; Wild at Heart, which was a show set in the Mara where a British family spent their lives running a safari Park. Probably one of the most popular places in Africa to visit now. Kenya Safari holidays have been boosted through Media and environmental outlets.

The Majestic and Fantastical Serengeti! Definitely set in place 2 is the Serengeti, much larger than the Masai Mara, and home to one of the world’s most amazing natural events. The Serengeti is much larger, and with a much more varied flora and fauna life. A yearly event known as the Circular Migration, is one of the most amazing events that occurs across the world. All of the herbivores in Tanzania all gather together in massive numbers, over 2 million and then travel in one herd in search of rain! The Serengeti is home to many different natural wonders of the world, including the Ngorongoro Crater, a massive 610 metre deep Volcanic Crater with its floor covering more than 250 square kilometres! Safari holidays are becoming more and more popular, making Tanzania safari holidays a more likely attraction!

Every year, the popularity of safaris increases. Beach vacations are all well and good, but they soon become repetitive. What could be more fun than seeing nature and wildlife in its purest form? Before getting to enjoy yourself though, you first need to spend a little time making sure that you book yourself on the right safari and that you are fully prepared for it.What follows is a short guide to what you need to take into account having decided that you would like to spend your next vacation on safari…

Safari Tour Operators : There are lots of tour operators to choose from, but not all of them are reputable and legitimate. Therefore, look for testimonials and reviews before deciding which one to sign up with. By opting for one that has offices both in Africa and your home country then you can save yourself a lot of hassle should any problems arise at a later date. The cost of safaris varies greatly, so you will need to shop around in order to get yourself a good deal.

Health : You will almost certainly require at least a couple of immunization shots, so a visit to a travel clinic will be necessary. You can also ask them whether the water will be safe to drink, if mosquitoes will be a problem, etc.

Weather : The weather will vary greatly from country to country, so be sure to read up about what to expect in the particular country that you will be visiting, and not base your packing decisions on what friends have told you about their safari trips in other countries. You will need to research beyond just the country level too, as different regions within the same country may well have differing climates. It is a common mistake to just pack shorts, t-shirts and sandals.

Accommodation : Luxury accommodation is generally available if you want it, but authentic safari ‘back to basics’ accommodation is more common. You can get some great bargains by opting for the latter. In fact, if you are planning on spending a few nights out in the wild, then you will have no choice but to ‘rough it’.

—

Next : Uganda Gorilla Safari Or Gorilla Treks

If you have managed to get over to Disney World you will know for a fact that they have a big ride over in Animal Kingdom known as Kilimanjaro Safari and of course it is supposed to be a bit like the real thing. Is this ride just a really bad adaptation of the African [...]

If you have managed to get over to Disney World you will know for a fact that they have a big ride over in Animal Kingdom known as Kilimanjaro Safari and of course it is supposed to be a bit like the real thing. Is this ride just a really bad adaptation of the African Safari or is just something that you can actually compare.

Well the ride itself is actually very good indeed and in terms of a real safari can actually be a really cool alternative if you cannot afford or do not want to go on a safari. It has the real animals like the lions, elephants and zebra that you would expect to see on a real safari. Of course there are some negatives to the ride. One of the big problems is that the person driving you around is a bit cheesy and you can really tell that they are doing this all the time, they do have some really cool information on the animals.

Disney are not trying to make it better but are trying to give you a small glimpse into the real thing. All they are trying to do is give you a bit of a taster when it comes to Safari’s. They are tying to show people the amazing parts of Africa that you never hear about on the news and attempting to inspire people to visit the real place.

So why don’t you actually go after a real Safari holiday by taking a going on one of those Kenya Holidays. Of course you could also go on one of those Botswana Holidays or even Zambia Holidays.

It really is up to you, if you don’t want to see the real Africa then just go to a theme park with a safari ride!

Surely there are other reasons why people should be on their way to Africa next [...]

Many people will be travelling to the world cup in Africa next year but it will be the first and last time many people will be going to Africa as a continent. But why is football such a big deal? Surely there are other reasons why people should be on their way to Africa next year?

There are many things to do and they can be much better than the World Cup. A big issue is that the safari’s are actually helping out the world by keeping the many animals safe so what on earth is all of the rubbish generated by the world cup going to do. All of this is going to make a big impact on the environment and the real question is, should this be happening?

Well no of course it shouldn’t, people should be enjoying Africa for the country rather than the football that is coming to it next year. Of course the most famous option available to you is to go on a Kenya Safari but that isn’t the only thing you can do in Africa. Other than the safari option you can choose from a variety of other things such as a self driving holiday and even choose from a Christmas deal.

So rather than tearing the place apart next year over a few men kicking a ball around why not go to some of the other places in the country. Of course Zambia holidays and Lamu Holidays are not cheap but they are really worth visiting as they are truly wonderful places to camp in at night.

Yes the football is going to be worth going to watch but that doesn’t mean you cannot think about going to some of the other locations that Africa has on hand to offer someone who is interested in the place.
