As a jural , the BL receives copies of all books produced in the United Kingdom and the , including all foreign books distributed in the UK. It also purchases many items which are only published outside Britain and Ireland. The British Library adds some three million items every year.

is a theatre and opera house in Cork in the . It was originally built in 1855, although its existence has not been continuous; having survived the burning of much of Cork by British forces in reprisal for an ambush of a military convoy in 1920 by Irish rebels, the Opera House nevertheless was burned down in its centenary year by a combination of old wiring and wooden materials. Although Cork had until then boasted the presence of a proper theatre in some form for over 250 years, it wasn’t until 1963 that the Opera House was rebuilt fully and opened. Travel attractions.

The are located in the parish of Liscannor at the south-western edge of The Burren area near Doolin, which is located in , Republic of Ireland. The cliffs rise 120 meters (394 ft) above the Atlantic Ocean at Hag’s Head, and reach their maximum height of 214 meters (702 ft) just north of O’Brien’s Tower, eight kilometres away. The cliffs boast one of Ireland’s most spectacular views. On a clear day the are visible in Bay, as are the valleys and hills of Connemara. O’Brien’s Tower is a round at the approximate midpoint of the cliffs. It was built by Sir O’Brien, a descendant of Ireland’s High King , in 1835, as an for the hundreds of tourists that frequented the cliffs even at that date. From atop that watchtower, one can view the Aran Islands and Galway Bay, the Maum Turk Mountains and the Twelve Pins to the north in Connemara, and Loop Head to the south. Moher tower, located at Hag’s Head, is a square . It appears to be the remains of a watchtower placed during Napoleon’s reign in Europe. Very interesting in Ireland.
