New York Hotel Deals

The Hotel on 57th St. between Madison Ave. & Park Ave. is certainly the most luxurious in which obviously also means that it’s insanely expensive. If you are not rich you are unlikely to want to spend the kind of money it costs to make a reservation here or at any other luxury hotel in New York City for that matter.

As of this moment the guest review rating for the Four Seasons Hotel in Manhattan is a perfect five out of five stars which matches the official 5 star rating that this hotel has.

Just one weekend night at the Four Seasons this month would run you at least $750/room. And for the most luxurious one bedroom suite you would pay an astounding $5000. That is not a typo. If you want to blow $5000 in a just one night, just reserve yourself a suite at the Four Seasons in .

Of course if you do have that kind of money to spend then you will be getting a top of the line experience. A sauna, a jacuzzi, a gym, all day room service, laundry service, fast internet service, valet parking, and a 24 hour security guard are all a part of the package.

But regardless of how nice your hotel is, the most important part of a hotel in Manhattan is its location and the Four Seasons is perfectly situated near Central Park and many other great tourist attractions such as the Sony Wonder Technology Lab, the Museum of Modern Art, the American Folk Art Museum, and the Rockefeller Center.

Personally I wouldn’t waste this much money on a hotel unless I was Bill Gates rich. There are lots of decent discount hotel options in New York City that also have good locations and good enough amenities. But you should be aware that discount means something different in Manhattan than it does in other parts of the US.

Here are five ideas for things to do during your stay in . All of these tourist activities are included in the time and money saving “New York Pass.”

1. Visit the Natural History Museum. I think this is my favorite museum in . The art museums are great too, don’t get me wrong. But I find the Natural History Museum to be extremely interesting. I also think it’s the best museum to take your kids to. They will be blown away by seeing the huge dinosaur skeletons.

2. Visit the Met. The Metropolitan Museum of Art is enormous. You could spend all day there and only scratch the surface! The museum also provides some activities specifically for children. I think it’s great to instill a sense of intellectual curiosity in your children as soon as possible and taking them to the Met is certainly one way to do that.

3. Central Park Bicycle Rental. Sure you could take a walk through Central Park, but you could also rent a bicycle and take a ride through the most famous park in the world.

4. Take the Heroes of World Trade Center Tour.

5. See from the top of the Empire State Building. I don’t think you can say you’ve truly seen NYC until you’ve seen it from the top of the Empire State Building. It’s quite the experience to be that high up and to be able to see so much of the city with your own eyes. Just be prepared to wait in line for awhile.

Regardless of what you choose to do while you are in City, you should make your online hotel reservations with the NewYorkHotelDeals.US site because it finds you the very lowest room price available online.

New York Hotel Deals functions by searching over thirty other hotel websites at the same time for the lowest price. Quite obviously this is very helpful as far as saving you the time and effort you would spend searching through all of those websites on your own and it is also a big cash saver because it makes sure that you find the lowest possible price anywhere.

The Hotel Deals Finder website does the same thing except that it searches for the lowest priced hotel rooms in cities worldwide.

There are so many things to do in that narrowing them down to a list of just ten is difficult. For your information, this list of ten things to do in New York City is focused on people who mostly want to do “tourist activities” rather than people who want to experience “real .”

1. Empire State Building. The most famous building in the world for about 80 years now and sadly because of the horrible of 9/11/01, it is once again the tallest skyscraper in . Take a trip to the top of the building for an incredible view!

2. The Statue of Liberty. Ever since France sent this wonderful statue to the States it has been a great symbol of our country and the idea of freedom.

3. Food on Foot Tours. I strongly recommend taking a food tour! The dining in is amazing.

4. Museum of Modern Art. I could fill this list up entirely with museums but I’m trying to mix it up a bit.

5. The Met. The Metropolitan Museum of Art is the most popular museum in the US.

6. Natural History Museum. This is the one with the dinosaur bones. They are incredible! A must see for anyone with a curious mind.

7. On Location Tour. See famous sites from movies and television!

8. Bodies… The Exhibition. I actually think this is really creepy but if you are interested in seeing the bodies of deceased people up close then this is the exhibition for you.

9. Bicycle Rental at Central Park. Rather than just taking a walk in Central Park, you can rent a bike and take a ride through it.

10. Madame Tussaud’s Wax Museum. It’s amazing how real the wax statues look!

All ten of these things are included as a part of the . Read this New York City Pass Review to learn about it.

No matter what you want to do while you are there, you should use New York City Hotel Deals for your hotel reservations in the city.

If you are a true foodie and you are planning a visit to (or you actually live in ) then you may want to think about visiting one of the following five extremely fancy .

Daniel is a French restaurant with a menu from acclaimed chef Daniel Boulud. Obviously the food is the top reason to go to this fabulous restaurant but the decor is also something to experience. There is a soaring ceiling with elegant Corinthian columns. The restaurant rant is located on East 60th street near Central Park. Click Here to make hotel reservations near Central Park.

Jean-Georges is a signature restaurant of Jean-Georges Vongerichten. Considering that the “tasting menu” is close to $100 even without wine this is probably a restaurant you’d only want to go on a very special occasion. It is located in the Trump International Hotel & Tower.

Masa is an extremely sushi restaurant that has no menu and only 26 seats. The cost per person is over $300 and everyone has chef Takayama’s “omakase” which means “chef’s choice.”

Sugiyama is a Japanese restaurant which follows the “kaiseki” tradition. This means that your meal will be a series of dishes which begins with the delicate (and raw) items on the menu to the more heavy (and cooked) dishes. Many of the customers at this restaurant are rich Japanese businessmen.

Alain Ducasse is named after chef Alain Ducasse who is certainly among the most renowned chefs in the whole world. For approximately $200 you will get a lovely seven course meal at this very fine French restaurant. Jackets are required for men so don’t show up wearing sweatpants and a tshirt.

If you’d rather not spend hundreds of dollars for one meal but you still want to eat some delicious food then I strongly recommend trying the Taj Mahal indian restaurant in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn. You will get a true NYC experience by going into Brooklyn and you will get delicious food for a very reasonable price.

Brooklyn actually has plenty worth seeing and in many ways it is more interesting than the usual tourist destinations. If you are interested in doing something other than the usual tourist stuff on your visit to , then perhaps you should find a hotel deal in Brooklyn. The most obvious Brooklyn neighborhood to check out is Williamsburg which is the “hippest” place to live in New York City circa 2010.

Traditionally a low-income immigrant neighbourhood, the Lower East Side of Manhattan New York has become a very different place than it used to be and is today home to a mixture of upscala boutiques and down to earth bars. The area has in recent year gone through a rapid gentrification and the National Trust for Historical Preservation now deems the neighbourhood as one of the most endagered places in the entire U.S. If you want to get a glimpse of what the area used to be before it is all boutiques and french cafes you should try to visit as soon as possible.
