When women are shopping for the family food, they are known for being thrify. They change when on holiday, they spend more on the destinations and when they are away. Perhaps it is the constant stress of helping to balance the daily budget that allows them the release of that responsibility when it comes to holiday time.

Web savvy and money saving females can use 100′s of different portals these days online Virgin Holidays, flybe or Ryanair to select the best deals on Transatlantic tours. Some of the most popular places are those in the Caribbean and the U.S, this seams to be where the most money is spent. They also offer trips to India, Malaysia and other exotic places. Virgin money travel insurance may be a good idea on holidays that take her far from home.

Most women plan or book their trips either online or through a travel agent. These destinations will fully depend on what type of holiday they are looking for, a weekend away or a big family holiday. If she is planning a cruise, she’ll want to be sure to select the right location for her cabin, rather than one that is close to the engine room and makes a person nauseous. A travel agent can help in these areas, since she knows the terms and what they all mean.

Once a woman has decided where her holiday will take her, she can check online to see whether it’s the type of trip that would be more easily booked online, or one that should be left to the expertise of a travel agent. An agent can advise her of Virgin money travel insurance, if this is the best for her. Travel agents can also tell her what to take with her on holiday, and what not to take..

If her trip is a first time visit to an area, she may want to enlist a travel agent. This makes the booking process alot more expensive, but they can pick up valuable tips from a travel agent that will help a great deal. Similar to this a travel agent can let a traveller know what hotel is best and what area it is. If her Virgin holidays will include needing a visa, passport or other official documents, it’s helpful to have a travel agent on hand, who knows the best way to obtain the necessary papers, if the traveler has never done so before.

Once arriving at the holiday destination, a woman may be more likely than a man to spend money on clothes from the holiday area, and items to take back to relatives and friends when the trip is over. Virgin money credit cards are handy for money spent on souvenirs and the like. Meals bought on holiday are typically more expensive than a women would buy at home. Holidays are memory-makers, and not a time when saving money is always at the forefront.

Global traveller has written for many travel related blogs also for destination holidays for Virgin

This year has been a year where people have literally been cutting down on their expenditure, the credit grind has taken its toll on a lot of families and some families have even lost their jobs and income all in all.

The travel and holidays industry has suffered quite a bit there are numerous families that have not even contemplated going away this year, simply because they cannot afford it. But I am going to tell you a personal story that I experienced as to why British people would rather spend their hard earned money on a new mobile or contract phone.

Ok my phone had had it and I was topping up around 40 per month, so I decided to myself why not instead go and get a free handset and free minutes for that price. So I made my way to the local shop. To my shock there were literally a ton of people waiting to get a contract phone. I specifically wanted to hold my telephone number and have the power to make free calls to 0800 numbers from any cell phone. But it just would not work out that way.

Anyhow while I was talking to the sales guy, he said to me how shocked he was at how busy the week had been, he said he cant believe there is a credit crisis. After a study it was shown that 41% would cut down on DIY, 41% on holidays, 16% on Television subscriptions and 10% on broadband services.

An average of £310.71 was spent on average per household on internet services last year, compared to £11.37 in 2007.

So there you have it all in one well formed and great article, you can see the pure amount that technology has developed, and people would rather spend their money and cash on handsets. But if you still fancy a holidays, take a look at this luxury cruises information
