When thinking of visiting the Maldives for a holiday, it can be very tricky to figure out what to visit. The Maldives is usually thought of as the place for a relaxing spa holiday. Some people though, would like to experience the culture of another country, and visit other areas. There isn’t a great deal to see in the Maldives, but the Diving and the hotels provide a lot of amusement!
It can take some exploring, but there are a whole load of different jewels for you to find
- The largest of the Landmarks to see, is the capital itself. If you want try and test your skills at some shopping, or you get the itch, this is the only place you can try it out. Good luck though, sorry but all you are going to find is a gift shop like atmosphere. So as said, this is very much like a gift shop, no commercial brands, well a few!
- One of the most phenomenal pieces of architecture in the Maldives is a Mosque, called the Friday Mosque. Coral is sculpted into the walls and the building itself. The wooden doors hold large hanging oil lamps within this gloriously structured building.
- Inside the Maldivian Capital is a quite place known as the Sultan Parks. When the royal palace was razed to the ground, the Sultan Parks were made welcome to the public. The atmosphere that you get in these Parks is very different to the busy surroundings in the city. The garden has lots of goodies inside it. These gardens are even home to some beautiful archaeological finds.
- The most popular of all the attractions though is the sea Scuba Diving holidays are extremely difficult t lay out. The Maldives is lucky enough to have some of the most spectacular marine life, and beautiful visibility underwater!
These are just some of the reasons why Maldives holidays have become so popular over the past few years. They are often described as the “new” Caribbean holidays, and they are beginning to attract a lot of visitors.
