Finding a rental vacation home, appartment or rental car should not be a problem but there are some things to consider. Allways remember that there are two different Granada and one Grenada (West Indies). Granada Nicaragua and Granada Spain. If you enter the search term “Granada rental (Spain & Nicaragua)” in Bing, Yahoo or Google [...]

Finding a rental vacation home, appartment or rental car should not be a problem but there are some things to consider. Allways remember that there are two different Granada and one Grenada (West Indies). Granada Nicaragua and Granada Spain. If you enter the search term “Granada rental (Spain & Nicaragua)” in Bing, Yahoo or Google you will get hits from both cities. Even if you search for “Granada rental spain” it is not uncommon for a hit about Nicaragua or two to make it into the results. It is therefore very important to remember that to check that the property you are looking at is located in the right Granada. This is extra important as some landmarks etc has the same names in both cities.

Finding a rental house in Granade should not prove to difficult but if you are planning to go under the high season it is recommended that you book something well in advance. The properties that can be found when you arrive is cheaper than the ones on the internet so if you are on a budget it can be good to look for a long term rental after you arrived.

You can find high end as well as low end properties in both Spanish and Nicaraguan Granada. The prices range froma couple of hundred to thousands a dollar a month. You can not use th eprice as an indication about standard or location as a cheaper house can be nicer in a better location.

To rent a car while you are in Granada, Nicaragua you should make sure to factor in all the insurance costs in your budget. Rental companies often require a large deposit and if you are involved in an accident that you cause you can be personal responsible for the damages and not be allowed to leave until they are paid, this can be the case even if you have insurance
