I always thought that it would be not only quite a risky thing to do but also something that would be a bit boring and although I had seen all of the Bond films before it was not until I purchased the entire collection on DVD a couple of weeks ago that I noticed just how much of a part diving plays in some of the movies and it got me thinking that perhaps I should think about scuba diving holidays after all.

The Key Changing Moments In The Film?

The moment or film as I should put it that really changed my mind on all of this was Thunderball, one of the many in which Sean Connery was in. A lot of this film was featured underwater and despite actually most of it being filmed in a studio I was still very much interested in believing that going on a real dive would be something that was well worth my time which would really be great.

Whilst realistically I know my chances of being ambushed when on a dive by people with harpoon guns and then thrown into a pool of man eating sharks is unlikely I still felt thrilled to go and try diving out. the great thing is I then went to find a place where diving lessons occurred and booked myself a nice little lesson. I have to say that I thoroughly enjoyed it, in fact so much that I went forward and booked some shark diving out in those Maldives diving locations.

So thanks Mr Bond for giving me a great new hobby to go and try out, I will keep doing this and who would have thought a movie franchise would provide me with a decent hobby to try out!

These are just a few of them that you should think about watching before you go on a luxury cruises Titanic Easily the most famous film set on a ship.

Many films that were based on cruise ships were actually filmed on the ships of course there are many that wernt too. These are just a few of them that you should think about watching before you go on a luxury cruises

Titanic

Easily the most famous film set on a ship. It is also one of the biggest money earners of all time bringing in a massive $1.8 Billion. $200 million is how much the film cost to make, which in turn made it the highest costing film for that time. The film is based around a fictional love story set on the titanic. A few characters within the movie that are based on real people.

The second speed film

It was given very poor reviews partly because of the fact many people didnt return to the sequel. Of course the main one is Keanu Reeves as he felt the script was not very good at all. The decapitated villian Dennis Hopper did also not want to return. As a whole this film was actually very bad. However this film is good because it has one of the best endings of all time which is the only reason it is on this list.

Carry On Cruising

Of coure this is just one of many films in the Carry On franchise. This was the first in the franchise to be fimed in colour. It is on the list simply because it is my favourite film in the entire series and needed to be here because the whole of the film is set on a cruise ship.

So whether you are on your way to one of those cunard cruises or even a Silversea cruises make sure you check out these films first. Thinking about it, these films all spell diaster for cruise ships but do not worry as they are just movies right?
