Disneyland was designed for kids of all ages and toddlers are no exception! Unless you’re planning to stay for more than a few days, you may not even have time for all the things you can do in this here place, and that goes for both you and your toddler.
Toon Town is the first stop in this tour by means of article. This is a place for your toddler to say hi, hello and how-do-you-do to the likes of Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, Pluto, Goofy and the rest of the gang. Your toddler will be undoubtedly entertained to no end as he or she passes through the Characters’ residences and enjoys their entertaining routines.
Your toddler will definitely enjoy the Disneyland Railroad. You will also have no problem navigating through the park, as the train stops at the following places – New Orleans Square, Toon Town, Tomorrowland and Main Street. This is a perfect opportunity for you to relax and go sight-seeing without straining yourself, as your toddler squeals in unbridled enjoyment.
It’s A Small World is a part of the park specifically meant for toddlers. Again, you can take this opportunity to relax as your toddler gets mystified by the swirl of colors and music. As for the Storybook Land Canal Boats, this is a chance for your toddler to see all the familiar Characters and locales he or she knows so well from the story books you read to them before they go to bed.
Dumbo the Flying Elephant, the Circus Train, King Arthur’s Carousel, Fantasyland and the Mad Tea Party are just a few of the many rides your child can go on when at Disneyland. However, exercise caution when it comes to dark rides, because they may cause your little one to get a bit apprehensive. Pinocchio’s Daring Journey, Alice In Wonderland, Snow White’s Scary Adventure and Peter Pan’s Flight are examples of these darker and edgier rides. Toy Story’s most popular character Buzz Lightyear is a big hit with toddlers, and so is his ride.
There are other areas of the park that have attractions and rides that are appropriate for toddlers. Anybody can visit Disneyland, may they be young or old. Some attractions have their own height/age requirements that need to be strictly followed, so to avoid disappointment, avoid taking your children near rides or attractions they are forbidden on. You wouldn’t want a crying child and an unhappy trip back home, right?
That said, you should restrict your movements to areas and attractions where your toddler is very much welcome. You were a kid once, and you may remember your parents warning you about some rides not being fit for little tykes, but back then, I doubt you were able to understand where they came from – I wasn’t. But now we all know the dangers, and we all realize that Disneyland is doing everything it can to offer something for people of all ages. Do your job as a parent and ensure the safety of your toddler, and this means keeping them within their boundaries when it comes to rides.
