Superman Line Costa Rica

The truly adventurous will not want to miss out on the newest adventure tour coming to . Above the Osa Peninsula in the coastal mountain range engineers are hard at work constructing the longest in the western hemisphere.

At twice the length of any other in the country it will be twice the fun too. Top speed on the ride will be around 55 to 60 mph and will last about 2 minutes give or take a few seconds. Riders will strap into a harness that holds them in a prone position and begin their rapid descent from 3,000 feet elevation and end the ride at 2,000 feet elevation.

The experience will zip the rider over the dense jungle and rain forest canopy. There are even sections that run through the trees making for an even greater thrill. Its an experience that is not for everyone but for some it will be the bomb.

The line will be run by owners at Osa Mountain resort village. OMV is what residents have nicknamed the community and it is home to several popular attractions already. It looks like the future holds an incredible water slide for the property too.

Community residents operate all of the various tours located on the propertry. Many purchased thinking about the big Costa Rica business opportunity that lies there.

Local townspeople are very supportive of the development. Many locals are now working at the development helping with construction, maintenance or food production in the permaculture area.

The resort community offers adventure at their doorstep to travelers and Costa Rica citizens alike.

 

So many people now take Costa Rica holidays. It is such a fun and vibrant destination that’s easy to see why people keep coming back here. Indeed the country in the heart of Central America is also the most visited tourist destination in Central America.

Whenever you go on a new holiday whether it is walking holidays or self drive holidays it can be useful to find out a little about the destination you plan on visiting. The first to know is that driving in is not all that different from any other Western or European country. The road system is well setup and has been around for a while making driving, in most cases, an easy task.

One thing you will find is that diving in Costa Rica is a popular activity to do. Once you see the beautiful beaches and crystal clear waters you will surely want to take part as well. There are a multitude of different dive spots around the country and you are sure to find somewhere to rent gear from.

With regards to the weather there are two distinct seasons in the tropical Costa Rica. The wet season will be there from May through November and the dry season starts in December ending in April. In most cases you will want to during the dry season, as excess rain during the wet season will make the environment very humid.

If you like your home food then you will be in lucky as Costa Rica has many of the westernised restaurant chains. But bear in mind that this is mostly going to be in the bigger cities and it is always nice to try some of the local dishes.

If you want to venture from the main land you will find many beautiful islands for you to explore. These islands are very cleaned and you will be able to take part in many activities here. Turtle Island also known as Tortuga Islands is one of the more popular island destinations in Costa Rica.

 

To be honest I have never been a major fan of doing anything involving much activity at all. The thing is I thought that a lot of work is done in my job, why should I do it when I am away taking vacation.

However this all changed when I was invited to go on what I thought to be one of those waste of time active holidays however when I received the invite I had a bit of holiday left over and thought screw it I will just go. Continue reading »
