Saint Patrick’s Cathedral in Dublin, formally known as The National Cathedral and Collegiate Church of Saint Patrick, Dublin or in the Irish language as Árd Eaglais Naomh Pádraig, founded in 1191, is the larger of Dublin’s two Church of Ireland cathedrals, and the largest church in Ireland. Unusually it is not today the seat of a bishop, as Dublin’s Church of Ireland Archbishop has his seat in Christ Church Cathedral, with Saint Patrick’s being (since 1870) the National Cathedral for the whole island, drawing chapter members from each of the twelve dioceses of the Church of Ireland. Saint Patrick’s is headed by a Dean, an office which has existed since 1219, the most famous holder being Jonathan Swift. Plan your summer holidays in Ireland. Nice and fun tourist location, one of best travel cities.

The Cliffs of Moher are located in the parish of Liscannor at the south-western edge of The Burren area near Doolin, which is located in County Clare, Republic of Ireland. The cliffs rise 120 meters (394 ft) above the Atlantic Ocean at Hag’s Head, and reach their maximum height of 214 meters (702 ft) just north of O’Brien’s Tower, eight kilometres away. The cliffs boast one of Ireland’s most spectacular views. On a clear day the Aran Islands are visible in Galway Bay, as are the valleys and hills of Connemara. O’Brien’s Tower is a round stone tower at the approximate midpoint of the cliffs. It was built by Sir Cornellius O’Brien, a descendant of Ireland’s High King Brian Boru, in 1835, as an observation tower for the hundreds of tourists that frequented the cliffs even at that date. From atop that watchtower, one can view the Aran Islands and Galway Bay, the Maum Turk Mountains and the Twelve Pins to the north in Connemara, and Loop Head to the south. Moher tower, located at Hag’s Head, is a square stone ruin. It appears to be the remains of a watchtower placed during Napoleon’s reign in Europe. Very interesting tourist spot in Ireland.

It also contains hundreds of interactive exhibits. A recent addition is the IMAX 3D Cinema showing science and nature documentaries, some of them in 3-D, and the Welcome Wing which focuses on digital technology. Entrance has been free since 1 December 2001. The museum also houses some of the many objects collected by Henry Wellcome around a medical theme. These are displayed up on the 4th and 5th floors, although the objects on display are a fraction of the overall collection. The Science Museum has a dedicated library, and until the 1960s was Britain’s National Library for Science, Medicine and Technology. It holds runs of periodicals, early books and manuscripts, and is used by scholars world-wide. It has for a number of years been run in conjunction with the Library of Imperial College, but in 2004 the Museum was unable to bear its share of the cost, so options are being discussed for the library’s break-up and dispersal. Perfect spot for your family vacatrion.

Penrhyn Castle is a country house in Bangor, Gwynedd, North Wales, in the form of a Norman castle. It was originally a medieval fortified manor house, founded by Ednyfed Fychan. In 1438, Ioan ap Gruffudd was granted a licence to crenellate and he founded the stone castle and added a tower house. Samuel Wyatt reconstructed the property in the 1780s.

The University of Cambridge (Cambridge University), located in Cambridge, England, is the second-oldest university in the English-speaking world and has a reputation as one of the world’s most prestigious universities. The University grew out of an association of scholars in the city of Cambridge that was formed, early records suggest, in 1209 by scholars leaving Oxford after a dispute with local townsfolk there. The universities of Oxford and Cambridge are often jointly referred to as Oxbridge. In addition to cultural and practical associations as a historic part of English society, the two universities also have a long history of rivalry with each other. Cantabrigian is the formal adjective meaning “of Cambridge University” which is also used as a term for the university’s members (abbreviated as Cantab. in post-nominal letters for alumni). No matter if you are student or not if worth visit. It is very popular tourist spot.
