Vimanmek Palace was built in 1900 by His Majesty King avatar V by having the Munthatu Rattanaroj Residence in Chuthathuj Rachathan at Ko Sichang, Chonburi, dismantled and reassembled in Dusit Garden. The celebration for the completion of Vimanmek Palace was held on March 27, 1901. It was utilised as a royal hall by King avatar V for five years until the completion of Amphorn Satharn Villa in 1906. In 1932, Vimanmek Palace was utilised exclusive as a storage place of the Bureau of the .

In 1982 Her asked authorisation of His Majesty King avatar IX to renovate Vimanmek Palace for use as a museum to commemorate King avatar V by displaying his photographs, personal art and handicrafts, and to help as a showcase of the Thai . The hall is now a major traveler attraction and is the world’s largest metallic teakwood mansion.

Wat Arun (Temple of the Dawn), Bangkok
Wat Arun (Temple of the Dawn, perhaps so named because the first light of morning is reflected off the surface of the temple with a pearly iridescence) is a (wat) in Bangkok, Thailand. The temple is located in the district, on the west bank of the . The outstanding feature of Wat Arun is its central prang (Khmer-style tower). Steep steps lead to the two terraces. The height is reported by different sources as between 66,80 m and 86 m. The corners are surrounded by 4 smaller satellite prangs. The prangs are decorated by seashells and bits of porcelain which had previously been used as ballast by boats coming to Bangkok from China. Around the base of the prangs are various figures of ancient and animals. Over the second terrace are four statues of the Hindu god Indra riding on Erawan. At the riverside are 6 pavilions (sala) in Chinese style. The pavilions are made of green granite and contain landing bridges. Next to the prangs is the Ordination Hall with the Niramitr supposedly designed by II. The front entrance of the Ordination Hall has a roof with a central spire, decorated in coloured ceramic and stuccowork sheated in coloured china. There are 2 demons, or figures in front.
