Many of us know about and packing for them, and those that are preparing for a trip around the world should know they need to be more careful when packing. Make sure that you are careful when packing, it doesn’t matter who you are or where you are from, a trip across the globe require light packing for everyone. Although your holiday may be a lengthy one something important to remember with this, is that you want to stay light.

A trip around the world usually involves you walking long distances and staying in varied accommodation, so you need to make sure that you have clothes for all occasions, yet still stay light. Try not to overload yourself with clothes, take it easy with everything like T-shirts and Sweaters. Take only 2 pairs of jeans, and some shorts, maybe a pair of trousers if you go for a nice meal somewhere (not likely though). Underwear is very important, it won’t be able to get washed everyday so take plenty of it with you. Just try and think of it this way, you can get away with wearing Jeans for up to a week (I know gross, but deal with it). However underwear you will need to change daily, this is the part of clothing that once it’s dirty it’s making contact with skin constantly, and contact with parts you want to keep clean!

A sleeping bag, this is the most obvious item, but also the least amusing to forget. Think you are staying in a 3 star hotel in Peru or Thailand, then think again, the bed may not be what you expect. Make sure you bring a sleeping bag with you or you could find yourself in a bit of a pickle. Luxury holidays this is certainly not, in fact it is quite a messy experience. Something you may not even consider, is an umbrella, one of the most ordinary items that could help save your soul in monsoon weather. You may not think it but an umbrella will really help out.

Caribbean holidays and Maldives holidays all of these may not be a part of the holiday on your trip, but make a good relaxing holiday!
