Puente Nuevo, Ronda

The , whose name means “new bridge” in Spanish, is the newer and larger of two bridges that span the 120m- that divides the city of in . The bridge was built in 1751 and took a total of 42 years to build. The bridge is supposedly one of the most photographed structures in Spain. During the civil war that gripped Spain between 1936 – 1939 the under Franco threw the republicans from the bridge to their deaths in the chasm far below at the bottom of the canyon. Not very known but worth for sightseeing tours and guides.
