Ok I have taken this holiday choice for one very good reason. This is going to be one of the biggest of the year according to several tour operators. However, I do believe that some of those that go there do not really know what they are walking into. So I would like to help shed some light by giving the and Cons of this country as a holiday location!

So we will start off with those all important Pros, what are the good points to going on holiday in ? Well first and foremost it is cheap. Now although it will cost a fair bit for you to actually to get to , costs over there are very low. The hotels here are an absolute wonder, so once your in your sorted. hotels are well known for treating their customers extremely well. There is also a lovely chance for you to indulge in a safari, the majority of the time people like to explore this country, and this activity allows you to do this. There is a mass of jungles and forests so the chance to go on safari is so, the ability to have an adventurous holiday is available to all. There is a lot of ways for people to enjoy themselves on holiday in .

This isn’t a holiday without any down falls, there are a few things that you may want to know about it. You have to be wary of what time of the year you out to Sri Lanka, the Rainy season takes place from October to January. The rain is truly immense. However some down’t mind the rain, the only problem is that this isn’t the nly annoying thing about Sri Lanka. This country is in a state of poverty, and is being constantly battled in Civil war, although it has died down a little recently. Just make sure that you don’t enter the forests without a guide or a tour, it is important to make sure someone is with you at all times. Finally the Jabs, there are several injections that you must endure if you want to here, and that is one of the worst bits for me!

Sri Lanka holidays have become very popular, but if you want something more relaxing and less dangerous, you should try Maldives holidays or Caribbean holidays!

  1. Your ‘pros’ as mentioned above are correct.
However, what you have written abou tthe war in Sri LAnkan is not. The civil war which was being fought mainly in the north & east part of the country was finished on the 19th May 2009 and it is not any more dangerous than any other normal country now.

So your argument about that is not correct. Maldives & some of the Caribbean islands have better beaches than Sri Lanka but Sri Lanka wins over them if a ‘complete package’ of attractions is considered.

  2. There’s a lot of distinct locations on a positive holiday escape on the globe. I don’t fully understand how, but yet i do believe i want typically a asian region regarding the travels, for the reason that i believe folks you will find so helpful and very helpful

  3. sri lanka is the paradise of beauty

  4. Yo love your blog, found it while randomly surving, will keep checking up. Cya…

  5. Hello – I am from Queens Hotel, Kandy, Sri Lanka. I happen to stumble upon this web page while searching on Google. I invite you to join our Facebook Fan Page at http://www.facebook.com/Queens.Hotel.Kandy.Sri.Lanka

  6. I take serious issue with your comment that the civil war has ‘died down a little’. This is grossly inaccurate

The terrorists were completely wiped out in 2009 and there are no signs of a war whatsoever in the country.
