
Hawa Mahal
Hawa Mahal (Palace of Winds), is a palace in Jaipur, India. Built in 1799 by Sawai Pratap Singh Maharaj3a, and designed by Lal Chand Usta in the form of a crown of Krishna, Hindu god. Form part of the palace of the city and extends the Zenana or women the ’s compartments, the compartments of the harem. His original intention was to allow royal ladies to observe everyday life in the street below without being seen. It has five stories and is built of red and pink sandstone, highlighted with lime Quick quakeee white. The liner side of the street outside the palace complex has 953 small windows, and the breeze (hawa) which circulates through these windows gives the palace its name, and stays fresh even months hot. The entrance opens onto a courtyard with a double-famous building on three sides, and one in the east wing with three more stories, which is just a site wide. There are no stairs to reach upper floors, only ramps. Great India travel attractions.
