Crescent Street

Crescent Street (rue Crescent) is one of Montreal’s party places, filled with clubs and bars. The Crescent Street zone extends over to other neighbouring north-south streets, and the blocks that connect them to Crescent (de la Montagne, Bishop Street, Mackay Street). A small alleyway is named in honour of former Montreal Gazette columnist Nick Auf der Maur, Montreal personality and a frequenter of Winnie’s. Nick was the father of rocker Melissa Auf der Maur.
