Together with Kata Tjuta, Uluru forms one of two landmarks that are the main features of the Uluru - Kata Tjuta National Park. Uluru is sacred to the Pitjantjatjara and Yankunytjatjara, the Aboriginal people of the area. It has many springs, waterholes, rock caves and ancient paintings. Uluru is listed as a World Heritage Site for its natural and man-made attributes.

    Uluru is truly magnificient!

Are there any news regarding the barring of visitors climbing the rock? I heard that the Aborigines wanted to discontinue the climbings due to the latest political struggles with the Australian Government regarding alcohol, child abuse and else?

    Cheers from Bali,
