Cathedral of San Salvador
The Cathedral of San Salvador is a large cathedral placed in the centre of Oviedo, in the Asturias region of northern Spain. The cathedral of San Salvador of Oviedo remains today as a unique example of different architectural styles, from Prerromanesque to Baroque, including Romanesque, Gothic and Renaissance parts. Originally, there was a big Prerromanesque basilica in the place where today stays the gothic cathedral, but we know nothing about that first building (which was built by order of King Alfonso II of Asturias The Chaste).
