The aquarium reopened May 26, 2006. They are currently running an Adopt an animal to raise funds for reconstruction. Since Hurricane Katrina, the aquarium has improved, adding more species in the Caribbean and the jellyfish exhibits and an overhaul in the Gulf of Mexico the tank.

The museum broke ground August 27, 2007 the new museum wing. Growth leads to doubling the size of the museum, has a total of 83 000 square meters. This extension will expand the museum’s bilingual, awareness programs in local communities and provide classrooms and laboratories at the museum through the Institute for Family Learning. Even the site of the museum doubled Houston Public Library branch. New buildings must be added seamlessly to join the existing building and the house of seven new exhibition in the gallery is designed for families with interactive learning experiences. The funding for the new building became the capital campaign raised more than $ 35,500,000.

Natural History Museum of Harvard was founded in 1998 as the “public face” of the three research museums – the Museum of Comparative Zoology, the Geological Museum, and seagrass beds, with a mission to improve the understanding and appreciation of the natural world and man’s place in it. Museum exhibitions from the collections of Harvard University Natural History, members of the faculty of Harvard offers a unique experience and a series of programs for members and the general public, provoking an intense exchange of information and ideas, founded in the spirit of discovery. With over 180,000 visitors per year, the Natural History Museum, Harvard is the most visited museum of the University.
A robust travel plan complements the museum’s mission to raise awareness of the natural world. Travel in small groups, often led by the Faculty of Harvard, the Museum of experienced travelers to exotic destinations, are particularly important as recognized biodiversity hotspots. The museum is composed of members, with over 3,200 current members, mainly from the Boston metropolitan area. Although the museum is affiliated with Harvard Faculty of Arts and Sciences and received strong support from the university that draws most of its revenues from admissions, membership, donations and income programs.

Newbury Street is located in the Back Bay neighborhood of Boston, Massachusetts. It runs roughly from east to west, from the Boston Public Garden to Massachusetts Ave. The road crosses several major roads along the way, with an entrance to Mass Pike West Mass Ave. Eastern Mass Avenue is lined with historic 19th century brownstones that contain hundreds of shops and restaurants, making it a popular destination for tourists and residents. The most expensive shops are located near the Boston Public Garden end Newbury Street. The stores are gradually becoming a little less expensive and more bohemian on Massachusetts Avenue. Western Mass Ave Street adjacent to the Mass Pike on the south side buildings, not to mention the north side is mainly loading docks and garages in front of buildings on Commonwealth Avenue. A proposal that the proposed terrace largest Pike in the area to restore the south side of the road and extended shopping Brookline Ave.

City agreed to the museum site on the southern shore of the inner harbor, provided that the organizers would clean up residual copper paint factory and a whiskey warehouse that formerly used the site. It has been designated National Congress of American self-taught art. Avamar founder and director is Rebecca Alban Hoffberger, a former psychiatric nurse who left her job “trumpet the wonders of raw human creativity”. He raised $ 7,000,000 for the six donors such as Anita Roddick. Designed by Rebecca Swanston and Alex Castro, the museum opened to the public November 24, 1995.

AVAM has 55,000 square feet (5100 m2) of exhibition space, but has a permanent collection of only 4,000 units. The collection includes works by visionary artists Ho Baron, Clyde Jones, Simpson and Ben Wilson Volli and over 40 pieces from Cabaret Mechanical Theater, London. Part of this work is shown in a gallery on the first floor of main building, through the James Rouse Visionary Center, and outside when the new temporary thematic exhibitions are being installed. The museum has no staff curators, preferring to use guest curators for its shows. Instead of focusing on showing specific artists or styles, which sponsors special exhibitions with titles such as the wind in your hair and full of life. Hoffberger takes pride in the fact that AVAM be quite “un-museumy”.
