The is an art museum located in the First Hill neighborhood of Seattle, Washington, USA. The museum focuses on of the nineteenth century to today. Its properties are from the private collection of Charles (1858-1940) and Emma († 1934) Frye. Carlos, owner of a meatpacking company local, the allocation of money in his will for a museum to house the Frye, a collection of more than 230 paintings. The opened in 1952 and was the first museum free. The museum building was designed by Paul Thiry, but has since been considerably modified.

Museum of International Folk Art is managed by the State Department Santa Fe, New Mexico, United States. and “one of many cultural institutions to manage the New Mexico Committee”. Founded the museum in Florence Dibella Bartlett and open to the public in 1953 and has achieved national and international awards in the world to house the largest collection of international folk art. A collection of over 135,000 items form the basis for exhibitions in four distinct wings: Bartlett, Girard, , and Neutrogena. The original building, a gift Bartlett State has designed a noted architect John Gaw Meem New Mexico.

American Visionary Art Museum, Baltimore

Museum (Avamar) is an art museum located on Federal Hill in neighboring States 800 Key Highway in Baltimore, Maryland. City agreed to the museum site on the southern shore of the inner harbor, provided that the organizers would clean up residual copper and a whiskey warehouse that formerly used the site. It has been designated National Congress of American self-taught art. Avamar founder and director is Rebecca Alban Hoffberger, a former who left her job “trumpet the wonders of raw human creativity”. He raised $ 7,000,000 for the six donors such as Anita Roddick. Designed by Rebecca Swanston and , the museum opened to the public November 24, 1995.


AVAM has 55,000 square feet (5100 m2) of exhibition space, but has a permanent collection of only 4,000 units. The collection includes works by Ho Baron, Clyde Jones, Simpson and Ben Wilson Volli and over 40 pieces from Cabaret , London. Part of this work is shown in a gallery on the first floor of main building, through the James Rouse Visionary Center, and outside when the new temporary thematic exhibitions are being installed. The museum has no staff curators, preferring to use guest curators for its shows. Instead of focusing on showing specific artists or styles, which sponsors special exhibitions with titles such as the wind in your hair and full of life. Hoffberger takes pride in the fact that AVAM be quite “un-museumy”.

The . Robie House is a U.S. in Chicago, Illinois , 5757 S. Avenue South Side. It was designed and built between 1908 and 1910 by Lloyd Wright and is known as the greatest example of his Prairie Style, the first architectural style that was uniquely American. It was designated a National Historic Landmark November 27, 1963 and was the first national registry of historic places over October 15, 1966.
