Afflecks Palace, Manchester

Affleck, Afflecks Palace is a building housing an indoor market located at the intersection of Church Street Street / Tib Street in Oldham and Dale Street in the north of Manchester in England. Dozens of independent shops, small boutiques and shops operate in a single building. The building was once inhabited by a store called Affleck and Brown, hence the name.

Affleck and Brown had established an independent department store Debenhams, but bought in early 1950, that his property until 1973. He had a good reputation and credit Draper was known for a good selection of home sewing fabric. Palais des Papes is a historic palace in Avignon in southern France, one of the largest and most important medieval Gothic buildings in Europe. Since 1995, Palais des Papes is classified as the historical center of Avignon on the World Heritage site by UNESCO, the cultural criteria I, II and IV.

Avignon became the residence of the popes in 1309, when the Gascon Bertrand de Goth, as Pope Clement V, willing to face the violent chaos of Rome after his election (1305), transferred the Papal Curia in Avignon, a period known as the name of the papacy from Avignon. Clemente lived as a guest in the Dominican convent of Avignon, and his successor, Pope John XXII create a magnificent there, but the reconstruction of the ancient palace of the bishops was formally opened by Pope Benedict XII (1334-42) and continued by their successors in 1364.
The site, in a natural rocky outcrop in the far north of Avignon, overlooking the Rhone, was that of the former Episcopal Diocese of Avignon. The Palace was built in two main phases with two distinct segments, known as the Ancient Palace (Old Palace) and Palais Neuf (New Palace). Once completed, it occupied an area of 11,000 square meters (2.6 acres). The building was very expensive, consumes a significant amount of revenue for the papacy during its construction.

Swiss Transport Museum

The Swiss Transport Museum or Verkehrshaus Switzerland, Lucerne, is a museum, opened in July 1959 and all forms of transportation (including locomotives, cars, ships and aircraft), and communications. The museum also has an extensive collection of works by Hans Erni, local sculptor and painter. There are several other attractions in addition to the museum collection: Planetarium, IMAX Theatre, Swiss Arena, 1:20,000 scale aerial photograph of Switzerland, it is also home to Eureka, a 4.5 tonne satellite between spatial objects in space and few safe return Eureka and its return to Earth was a collaboration between several countries of Western Europe and the United States in the 1990s.

Clifton Suspension Bridge, Bristol

Clifton Suspension Bridge is a suspension bridge spanning the Avon Gorge and linking Clifton in Bristol to Leigh Woods in North Somerset, England. Designed by Isambard Kingdom Brunel, is a benchmark that is used as a symbol of Bristol. It is a listed building.

The idea of building a bridge over Avon Gorge originated in 1753 with a bequest in the will of Bristolian merchant William Vick, who left £ 1,000 invested with instructions that if the interest had accumulated to £ 10,000, should be used for construction a stone bridge between Clifton floor (which was in Gloucestershire, outside the city of Bristol, until the 1830s) and Leigh Woods (then in Somerset).
The bridge is a distinctive symbol, a symbol that is used in Bristol, postcards, brochures and information web sites, such as Bristol visit.

You or Las Calles El Casco Viejo Zazpikaleak or Spanish or Basque Alde Zarra are different names for medieval near Bilbao, Ibaiondo the district. Mean Streets Names Seven or Old City, and consequently used to be a part of the walled city at the end of the 19th century. You Zazpikaleak name or Las Calles (Seven Streets) is derived from the oldest part of the district, which contained exactly seven roads and some very narrow streets combine they are called cantons (bore, Canton).

Seven historic streets of Bilbao: Somera, Artekale, Tender, Belostikale, Carnicería Vieja Barrenkale, Barrenkale Barrena. "Eight" street is Ronda, which previously was on patrol on the streets outside the walls. Later, the city expanded north of the building or the Plaza Berria Plaza Nueva (New Square) and on the streets of Santa Maria, Bidebarrieta, Correo and Aska. Today, the neighborhood also Ribera Street, the Arenal Park and Esperanza street as well.

Grand Island, Strasbourg

Big Island, the historic center of Strasbourg, France, is an island in the Ill river. Literally "Grand Island, Grand Island was named a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1988. At that time, the International Council on Monuments and Sites noted that Grand Island is “old neighborhood that shows the medieval cities”.
